A Conifer/Evergreen native, Billy brings over 10 years of professional fire mitigation and tree felling experience to the team. As a wildland firefighter for the Bureau of Land Management, he worked across five states, gaining extensive expertise in prescribed fire, fuels management, and fire suppression.

As a wildland firefighter for the Bureau of Land Management, he worked across five states, gaining extensive expertise in prescribed fire, fuels management, and fire suppression.
His deep understanding of triage in the Wildland-Urban Interface (WUI) makes him an invaluable asset in his current role.
When he’s not in the field, Billy is constantly expanding his knowledge—whether it’s chainsaw operations, advanced felling techniques, forestry management, heavy equipment, or mitigation best practices.
As the founder of Blue Sky Fire Mitigation, he has dedicated his life to being a lifelong student of fire mitigation, continuously seeking ways to improve wildfire resilience in the community.

Jessica brings a diverse and extensive skill set to the team. She has studied old-growth forests in Alaska, led ecological restoration projects along the Colorado River, and managed invasive species across Florida, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado. Her experience as a wildland firefighter, along with her deep commitment to natura
Jessica brings a diverse and extensive skill set to the team. She has studied old-growth forests in Alaska, led ecological restoration projects along the Colorado River, and managed invasive species across Florida, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado. Her experience as a wildland firefighter, along with her deep commitment to natural resource management and the Evergreen community, makes her an invaluable asset.
In addition to her work with Blue Sky Fire Mitigation, Jessica will be serving as a Resource Advisor on large wildfires, ensuring that fire suppression efforts align with environmental and land management objectives. She is also working toward becoming a member of a Community Mitigation Assistance Team (CMAT) with the U.S. Forest Service, where she will help communities strengthen their wildfire resilience.
Her dedication to both fire response and long-term mitigation makes her an essential part of the team, helping homeowners and communities proactively reduce wildfire risk while protecting the landscape.

Before joining Blue Sky, Daniel worked on trail crews and tree service companies, where he honed his skills in forest ecology, erosion control, chainsaw operations, tree felling, and hazard tree removal. His hands-on experience navigating rugged terrain and managing forest health allows him to assess landscapes with precision and implement effective mitigation strategies.
A hard worker through and through, Daniel isn’t just dedicated to getting the job done—he also makes sure the team is having a good time while doing it. Whether he's clearing defensible space, improving forest health, or sharing a good story to keep morale high, he brings energy and camaraderie to every project. His passion for the outdoors and commitment to wildfire resilience make him a crucial part of the Blue Sky Fire Mitigation team.
